Inspired by a Christmas Photo

Happy hello to all my scrappy friends

This photo of my grandchildren was taken at Christmas time 5 years ago .
One of my faves .

LOVE
  Maja Design papers used .

Vintage Autumn Basics, No XX11, No V11

these Vintage papers with their rich deep olive green

I added white gesso over the chipboard and random spots .
the chipboard is inked, swiped with white gesso and stamped in black .
My title is a Paper Smooches die ...
cut from these beautiful papers and altered with gesso and a stamp.
 These metal buttons look fabulous
with a little white gesso swiped over them .
lots of layering and mixing and matching the Vintage papers .

Below is a Christmas card heavily embellished on a foundation of
Walking in the Forest and Vintage Spring Basic collections.
I adore these rich and earthy colors .

CELEBRATE

Hi everyone, and a warm welcome to my blog
Today I am sharing a card I made for one of my International scrapping buddies.
this wonderful hobby of scrapbooking,
has allowed me to meet 'arty' friends from all over the world .
This is a birthday card for an English friend who is celebrating her birthday
the day before Christmas .

so I thought I would create a card for her as sometimes people
who celebrate birthdays close to Christmas
are often forgotten and they miss out .

CELEBRATE

happy happy birthday to you Maggie
have a wonderful day and celebrate every moment
I will have a cheer for you.
my love to you always .

A Textured gift Tag for Christmas - Maja Design

Hello to my scrappy sistas' and lovers of  Maja Design Collections.
Today I have a Christmas tag to show you
created with the NEW Collection "A Gift for You".
I always love to include a tag with my Xmas gifts
and I make them personal by writing on the back of the tag.
We have very hot weather for Christmas here in Australia
and right now we are in the middle of our Summer .

A gift for you ..

I adore the striking rich red and white with the grey BG .
I created lots of layers with these glorious papers.
Adding a splash of green on the rosebuds.
I wanted to create a feel of a white Christmas with this Tag .

A side shot showing the many layers of the co-ordinating
papers, matching perfectly .

I added a small amount of fibre paste with a stencil creating the illusion of Snow .
Maja Design collections used .
A Gift for you ...Given from the heart and Sent with Love.
Frojdefull Jul collection ... JULBUKETT and BRODERAD DUK
